Forward Planning Templates {Australian Teachers}

Below you will find 2 versions of these Forward Planning Documents, an ACARA and a WA version. 

The Teacher Planing Kits include the curriculum for the following Learning areas:

English, Maths, Science, HASS, Technologies, The Arts, Health & Phys ED. (Languages is not included at this time).

Each Learning area included 3 types of planning documents that will help you organise your teaching & planning for each term, including:

• Learning Area Overview
• Term Overview Template
• Lesson Plan At A Glance & Detailed Planning Template

In the Learning Area Overview, you will find the Curriculum for the Learning Area, organised into strands, Sub Strands, Content Description & Content Description Numbers. There is also a check box to tick off the content as it is taught.

The Term Overview is a template to record what will be taught & assessed each week of the term.  We’ve included 11 weeks per term, and each week includes separate Content Strand boxes for recording the topic being taught and an assessment box too. 

The Lesson Planning kit includes 2 templates. The first is an “At A Glance” Overview of what is being taught including Warm-up, Intervention, Extension, Early Finisher, and Teacher-Led & Learning Stations activities. There are also spaces for internet resources, Visuals, Posters, Books etc. 

The 2nd sheet is a detailed lesson planning template. It includes spots for Learning Intentions, Success Criteria, Focus Questions, Tuning in, Lesson Observations & Evaluations.
