We all know Play dough is a great resource for Play-Based Learning and Fine motor for Preschool, Kindergarten and Foundation Years Students.
But Playdough and play dough templates can be used with older students too. Using playdough in is one of the best ways to engage & motivate students of any age to learn a limitless range of educational concepts.
I have been known to use Playdough with Year 6 students in a Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences Classroom for teaching Life cycles, fractions, 3D Shapes and more! And the kids loved it!
So having playdough as a learning station shouldn’t be overlooked especially if you want to help your students feel relaxed and calm about what they are learning.
Using Play dough also has the added bonus of encouraging oral language interactions, especially concept appropriate terminology & language too!
So don’t underestimate the value of using playdough in your classroom and grab some play dough and a template and make learning FUN and engaging for your students!
