We all know the fine motor benefits of playdough mat templates, but did you know that using playdough also helps students develop many literacy-based skills too!

Using play dough is an excellent way for students to interact with others and share their ideas and understanding. Having a playdough literacy centre will not only encourage language skills but can be used for developing an understanding of narrative structures, character traits, sequencing and vocabulary. So much learning with a few tubs of playdough and some playdough mats!

So having playdough as a learning station shouldn’t be overlooked especially if you want to help your students feel relaxed and calm about what they are learning.
